GUEST ARTICLE: THE BEES DID REALLY COME WITH A STING

Written by Misheals

After the long ardous wait that lasted several months running into a year, the most prestigious league finally welcomed back the fans, and oh boy, they were really in their elements. The Brentford fans created an exciting atmosphere as they were in full voice from the first minute.

In front of them was one of the most prestigious teams in England and arguably the entire Europe, Arsenal. Bouyed by a relatively successful summer transfer window, with hope and belief that they can aim higher for a top 6 finish, everything on paper, showed that Arsenal would have a great start to the season.

A daunting task indeed for the new boys, making their forays back into the Premier league after so long away. Armed with just their unerring belief, exuberance and the pump of winning the playoff finals a few months back, they approached their new status with gusto.

Just like their nickname, THE BEES, they took the game to the Gunners, and they stung the veterans, not once, but twice, leaving quite the bitter taste in the mouth of Mikel Arteta and his boys. Indeed, the Bees came with a pack of sting, and they showed you’d better run for cover when they swarm into town.

How well do you think this raucous carefree new boys will do this season? And just how long will Mikel Arteta remain in a job, with Chelsea and Manchester City on the horizon?
